About the App

What is Futuclass Physics VR?

Futuclass is a curriculum-aligned STEM VR platform developed in Estonia, co-created with award-winning science teachers including Katrin Soika, Estonian Gymnasium Teacher of the Year 2016. Its physics modules sit within a broader platform of 12 science lessons — each a standalone 30–45 minute interactive lesson built specifically for secondary school classrooms, combining hands-on virtual experimentation with structured assessment.

The physics offering currently has two core modules — Electric Circuit and Nuclear Reactions — alongside recommended partner apps that extend into stellar evolution and orbital mechanics. Each module has two stages: a Learn mode where students work through the interactive lesson, and an Exam mode where they are tested on what they've just experienced. Results feed directly into the teacher's web portal for real-time progress monitoring.

What sets Futuclass apart: Most VR science apps show students phenomena passively. Futuclass makes students do the science — build the circuit, shoot particles into place, manipulate nuclear forces. The immediate feedback loop (try, fail, adjust, succeed) within a safe virtual environment is precisely what makes it effective for topics like electricity and nuclear physics, where real experiments are expensive, hazardous or simply impossible in a school setting.

For schools, pricing is $199 per device as a lifetime licence — all current and future modules included, no recurring subscription fees. Individual modules are $7.99 each on Meta Quest and Steam. Free demos are available to trial before purchase.

Modules

What's Covered?

Module 1 — Electric Circuit
~30 min · KS3–KS4 Physics · Electricity

Students assemble real circuits using virtual batteries, wires, resistors and measuring instruments — with no risk of short circuits or broken equipment. The module builds through series and parallel configurations, introducing voltage, current and resistance in a hands-on context before students apply Ohm's Law and verify results by measuring with virtual ammeters and voltmeters.

Learning outcomes: Current and its measurement · Voltage and resistance · Ohm's Law (V=IR) · Ammeter and voltmeter use · Series vs. parallel circuits · Resistors and electrical appliances · Conducting and processing experimental data
⚛️
Module 2 — Nuclear Reactions
30–45 min · KS4–KS5 Physics · Nuclear Physics

Nuclear physics is notoriously abstract — forces operating at scales billions of times smaller than anything visible, energies impossible to intuit from numbers on a page. This module makes it tangible. Students explore atomic charge and electromagnetic forces, manipulate isotopes, and ultimately fuse atomic nuclei — watching the energy release happen in real time. The experience of doing nuclear fusion in VR creates a visceral understanding that equations alone cannot provide.

Learning outcomes: Atomic charge and structure · Electromagnetic and nuclear forces · Isotopes and mass number · Nuclear fusion mechanics · Energy released in reactions · Visualisation of subatomic-scale forces
⚠️ Prior knowledge of atomic structure recommended before this module

Primary focus is GCSE Physics (KS4) — both modules align directly with the electricity and atomic/nuclear physics units in AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications. The Nuclear Reactions module is also relevant to A-Level students encountering nuclear forces and fusion where visualisation is the challenge. Electric Circuit is valuable from KS3 upward. Recommended age: 13+.

Upper Secondary School, Estonia · Nuclear Reactions
★★★★★

"Using VR to learn about nuclear reactions was awesome! I could see how atoms split and combine, and it made the whole process easier to understand. It really helped seeing the atoms and watching it happen."

T
Physics Teacher
Upper Secondary School, Estonia · Electric Circuit
★★★★★

"The Electric Circuit VR module gave my students a hands-on way to explore circuit basics with zero setup beyond the headset. Watching them build circuits with batteries and resistors in real time helped solidify concepts like current flow and voltage far more effectively than a textbook ever could."

School review · futuclass.com
★★★★★

"I really love these games. These have helped me and my students a lot. I use them in ordinary class lessons in group work and individual learning. Students have the ability to learn by themselves — either faster than others or by repeating previously learned knowledge. I have seen the success and pleasure of my students."
