Very positive
Human Anatomy VR is a virtual reality anatomy atlas from Virtual Medicine, a Slovak developer working in medical education since 2016. It is used by universities, medical professionals and individual learners in more than 180 countries, and the company lists institutions such as Stanford University, Queen Mary University of London, the Medical University of Vienna and Hannover Medical School among its customers.
The library covers 15 body systems with more than 13,000 anatomical structures, around 5,000 bony features organised into parts, surfaces, borders and landmarks, 21 microanatomy models and over 500 movement animations. You can isolate a single muscle or organ, hide the layers around it, turn it in your hands and see its name, position and function. Content comes in two levels: a simplified high school level for general study and a detailed university level for medical and allied health students.
It works with controllers or hand tracking, seated, standing or room scale, and runs without an internet connection once installed. It is available in 16 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Polish and Ukrainian. The institutional edition also includes a DICOM viewer that turns CT and MRI scans into 3D models and cadaver images created with Stanford University, which are aimed at medical schools rather than secondary classrooms.
