Numbers and Letters: Music and Melody
Music and Melody
A free music learning game set in a virtual concert hall, from the makers of Numbers & Letters. Pupils train their ear by naming notes, read and play notes on a giant stave, play along to a large song library with virtual mallets and write melodies of their own. It has just arrived on Steam after launching on Quest in September.
Based on published information, not hands-on play
Numbers and Letters: Music and Melody is a free VR music game from the team behind Numbers & Letters, the numeracy and literacy game we have reviewed before. It launched on Meta Quest on 4 September 2026 and arrived on Steam for PC VR on 15 October 2026. The Quest version runs on Quest 2, 3, 3S and Pro, is rated PEGI 3, is rated Comfortable and does not need an internet connection, which is handy for school networks.
Everything takes place on the stage of a grand virtual concert hall, guided by the series’ animated letter characters. The store listings describe four ways to play, aimed at learning the basics of music theory, practising sheet music and simply having fun with rhythm.
This review is based on the store listings and the developer’s published description, not on hands-on play. The app is so new that there are no Quest reviews yet and only one on Steam, so we will update our score once more players have tried it.
The Quest listing says 250+ songs while the Steam page says 200+, so the exact library may differ between versions. The interface is available in English, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
