All On Board
Developer & Origins: Developed by The Game Kitchen, available on Quest and Steam, priced at $9.99. It launched in February 2025 and was originally Kickstarted with 1,055 backers pledging $70,402.
Core Concept: It’s the only tabletop platform natively built for VR, designed to deliver an experience as close as possible to playing in real life. Only one person needs to own a game — you digitally purchase a board game and your friends can play with you without needing to buy it themselves.
Game Library: Licensed titles include Rallyman GT, Terraforming Mars, The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, and Istanbul, alongside classics like chess and checkers.
Key Features: It includes a Learning Hub with resources to get up to speed on rules, supports solo, PvP, and co-op modes, and lets you save and restore game sessions at any time. Cross-platform play lets Quest and PC VR users sit at the same table, and there’s even a spectator mode to watch without playing.
Mixed Reality: The Meta Quest 3 version supports mixed reality mode, letting you place board games directly on your living room table.
Limitations: Full rule enforcement isn’t yet active — players can technically cheat — though the studio plans to make it a toggleable feature in the future. There are also no AI opponents yet.
