True Boxing VR

What it is A VR boxing game designed for anyone looking to learn, train, and fight like a real boxer — aimed at both beginners and experienced fighters. It is built with a strong focus on realism over arcade-style fun.

Developer Developed by K-land Games, with the tagline “developed by Boxers for Boxers.” The game was created by a team of actual boxers and coaches.

Early Access Status The game entered Early Access on Steam on 29 May 2024, with a planned full version 1.0 launch targeted for fall 2024. The developer has committed to ongoing updates based directly on user feedback via live conversations, Steam, and Discord.

Gameplay Mechanics The game features accurate physics and realistic boxing techniques. Players can punch, block, dodge, and move — with joystick movement supported in addition to physical movement. Players set their height, round length, and stance (Orthodox or Southpaw) before a fight.

Opponents The Early Access version launched with 5 opponents, each with different characteristics and skill levels. The planned full version targets 10 opponents in total.

Gym & Training Mode The game includes a virtual gym where players can train under the supervision of a coach, covering padwork, sparring exercises, and equipment training.

Career Mode A career mode is included alongside direct fight options.

Play Space Requires a room-scale area of at least 2m x 2m (6.5ft x 6.5ft).

Platform Compatibility Available on Meta Quest 2/3, HTC Vive Pro, and Vive Focus via Steam. Note: Valve Index controller support had known issues at launch. A free demo is available on both Steam and Meta.

Design Philosophy The game aims to distinguish itself from the exaggerated portrayals of boxing seen in other VR games and movies, with a focus on authentic technique and biomechanics rather than arcade-style action.
